    How is this calculated?

    We start from resting energy (RER) = 70 × weight0.75, multiply by a life-stage factor (kittens 2–3×, neutered adults 1.2, intact adults 1.4, seniors 1.1–1.3), adjust for activity, and use a target weight when body shape isn't ideal. Then we divide by the energy per gram of each FUREVER recipe.
